Robert as Robert Stevenson in Bell Rock Lighthouse

December 2004: Robert's birthday is December 20th! Happy Birthday. He is still being seen on EastEnders in the UK, 16 episodes in total, but not consecutively.

September 2004: Walford Web (EastEnders on the Net) has released the news that Robert has joined the cast as Tommy, the "older" love interest for regular EastEnder Vicki. It's all part of the shows plans to spice up the storylines and improve ratings.

May 2004: Robert will begin filming shortly for another guest-starring role on an episode of the British TV series Casualty.

May 2004: Robert has completed filming for an episode of the BBC TV crime drama Judge John Deed. This episode may be shown in the fall as part of Series 4.

March 21, 2004: In North America, A&E will begin showing the 4-part TV drama "Charles II: The Last King" starring Rufus Sewell, Diana Rigg, and Rupert Graves. Robert plays the Earl of Rochester.

January 2004: Robert is filming for a television project called "Rose and Maloney". This was a two-part TV mini shown in 2002 that is now going to be a regular series. Stars Sarah Lancashire and Phil Davis.

December 2003: Robert has a role in the upcoming film Sahara which will star Matthew McConaughey and Penelope Cruz. He has finished filming his part for this production.

Fall 2003: Robert will be playing the Earl of Rochester in the upcoming four-part drama Charles II: The Last King, which the BBC bills as a "dynamic romp - racy, visceral and violent" - stars Rufus Sewell as the King, Diana Rigg as his mother, Henrietta Maria, and Rupert Graves as Lord Buckingham." The air date has not been released yet. UPDATE: This TV-mini has been airing on BBC through November and into December.

September 3 - Ocober 25, 2003: Robert is currently performing in the European premiere of Pulitzer Prize-winner Nilo Cruz's play, Two Sisters and a Piano. See his Theatre page for more details.

September 18, 2003: Bell Rock Lighthouse is part of a series produced by BBC 2 called Seven Wonders of the Industrial World. Robert will play Robert Stevenson, one of engineers responsible for designing and building the famous lighthouse off the coast of Scotland. It aired in England on September 18th. No word yet when it will be seen in North America and other parts of the world. (Thanks to Moira and Nellie.)

July 25, 2003: Watch Robert in the upcoming Lara Croft - Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life starring Angelina Jolie and Gerard Butler. Check out the trailer online, at theatres, or on TV.

July 2003: The links page is now operational! I am gathering all the various links to sites for other actors or productions so you won't have to hunt through all the pages to find them. I'll continue to add links as I go.

June 2003: The gallery is now fully operational! There have been quite a few tweaks and updates to the site recently, so please have a leisurely browse.

May 2003: Robert plays MI6 Agent Stevens in the upcoming Lara Croft - Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life starring Angelina Jolie and Gerard Butler. Movie release in North America is scheduled for July 25, 2003. Check out the trailer to see a bit of Robert in his role.

December 2002: Billy Boyd, who plays Pippin in The Lord of the Rings trilogy (The Two Towers just opened in theatres this week), appeared in Robert's short film Soldier's Leap.

October 2002: "Blue Dove" is airing again in Canada on WTN (Women's Television Network) on Sundays (4:00 pm PST) and Thursdays (evening PST) starting October 11, 2002.

September 2002: "Brookside" three episodes of this TV series were directed by Robert and aired in mid-September in the UK. This is Robert's first directing for TV gig, and he's quite excited to see the reaction his work gets.

September 2002: "Blue Dove" finally aired on UK TV.

February 14, 2002: Robert and Kathryn welcomed the arrival of their son on Valentine's Day! Cavanah the Younger, Logan James Alexander, to be precise, arrived at 19.38 on Valentine's day the 14th February 2002, weighing in at the welter weight 9lbs 9oz (4.33 kilos). Congratulations!!

January 2002: Blue Dove will be airing in Britain in January and February 2002.

April 6, 2001: Robert recently played the devil in a TV project for Armac Films in Scotland, called "Talk of the Devil". Robert has also begun a TV job called "Blue Dove" for Carlton TV in the UK, which should complete filming in June.

September 22, 2000: For those of you who are able to get Public Television, KCTS (Seattle) is re-running Cadfael episodes on "Mystery". So, it's possible they will be running "Virgin in the Ice" again. This ep features Robert as Olivier de Bretagne, Cadfael's son. I don't know if other stations in North America are doing the same.

May 21st, 2000: Please visit the Paul Johansson web site where you will find an archived transcript of the forum interview which was held on May 21st, 2000 (my 36th birthday!). Robert has a great sense of humour and was very generous with his time (having just flown back from Spain) and his answers (he's engaged to a lovely lady named Kathryn!).
